Red Dog Blue Kat Raw Beef Femur

Treat your pup to a classic favourite with Red Dog Blue Kat’s Raw Beef Femur Bones. Sourced from human-grade, ethically raised Canadian beef, these recreational marrow bones are the perfect way to keep your dog engaged while supporting their health from the inside out. Known as "nature’s toothbrush," these bones are more than just a treat they are a vital tool for a happy, healthy dog.

Why Your Dog Will Love Them:

  • Dental Health Powerhouse: As your dog gnaws on the bone, the natural scraping action helps remove plaque and tartar buildup while massaging the gums, leading to fresher breath and cleaner teeth.

  • Mental Stimulation & Enrichment: Chewing is a natural instinct that releases endorphins (the "feel-good" hormones). It provides hours of mental engagement, helping to reduce anxiety and boredom.

  • Jaw Exercise: The act of gnawing helps strengthen jaw muscles, keeping your dog's mouth functional and strong.

  • Nutrient-Rich Center: These bones are filled with rich, delicious marrow which is a healthy source of fat and minerals like calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium.

Product Highlights:

  • Ethically Sourced: Made from non-medicated, human-grade beef.

  • Sustainably Produced: Responsibly upcycled to minimize waste.

  • Safe & Fresh: Blast-frozen and vacuum-sealed to lock in flavor and ensure the highest food safety standards.

  • No Splinters: Unlike cooked bones, these raw bones are flexible and durable, making them a safer alternative for recreational chewing.

Our Recommendations:

  • How to Serve: Serve frozen or thawed, however your furry guy likes their bones.

  • Chewing Duration: Let your pup chew for 30-45 minutes, then store in a freezer bag and freeze until you serve again.

  • How Often: We recommend two raw meaty bones per week for dry fed dogs and one raw meaty bone a week for raw fed dogs.

Important Safety & Feeding Tips:

  • Never Serve Heat Treated Bones: We only recommend feeding raw meaty bones, never a bone that has been heat treated in any way. Regardless of whether it's been cooked, cured, smoked or had any heat applied it, we do not recommend serving these bones to your dog. Heat changes the integrity of the bone and causes it to become brittle and splinter which can seriously injure your dog. You will know a bone has been heat treated if it is shelf stable and not in the freezer. These are the bones we recommend leaving in the store.

  • Best for Gentle Chewers: These bones are intended for "recreational" gnawing (scraping off the meat and licking the marrow). They are not recommended for aggressive chewers or "gulpers" who may try to bite through the hard bone.

  • Size Matters: Always choose a bone that is larger than your dog’s mouth capacity to prevent accidental swallowing. A good guideline is finding a bone that is almost the size of your dog's head and cannot fit entirely in their mouth.

    • Small Bones: Ideal for dogs under 25 lbs.

    • Large Bones: Best for medium to large dogs (25–60+ lbs).

  • Supervision is Key: Always monitor your dog while they enjoy their bone. Remove the bone once the marrow has been consumed or if it becomes small enough to swallow.

  • Health Precautions: Because marrow is naturally high in fat, these bones are not recommended for pets with pancreatitis, gastrointestinal disease, or those on low-fat diets.

Give your dog the gift of a healthy smile and a happy mind with Raw Meaty Bones, nature's ultimate chew!
