My Dog Has Ear Issues

Zaner Had This Too.
When Zaner came down with his first ear infection, there was mild yeast involved and we knew exactly where to start. One simple addition to his bowl, goat milk, cleared it up. No antibiotics, no ear drops, no repeat visits. Just addressing the root cause.
That is the House of Paws approach, and it works.
Why Dogs Get Ear Issues
Chronic ear problems are one of the most common reasons pet parents walk through our door, and one of the most misunderstood. Most ear infections are not just an ear problem.
The most common underlying causes are:
Yeast overgrowth that thrives internally and surfaces in warm, moist areas like the ears, gut imbalance that creates the internal environment yeast needs to flourish, high-starch or kibble-heavy diets that feed yeast from the inside out, food or environmental allergies that trigger chronic inflammation, and a compromised immune system that can no longer keep opportunistic yeast in check.
If your dog's ear infections keep coming back, the ear is not the problem. It is the symptom.
Where To Start
Step 1: Upgrade the Diet
Yeast feeds on sugar and starch. A fresh, low-starch diet starves the problem at its source. Even reducing kibble and adding fresh food can shift the internal environment dramatically.
Step 2: Repair the Gut
The gut is where yeast imbalance begins. Goat milk, probiotics, and digestive support help rebalance the microbiome and create an environment where yeast cannot thrive.
Step 3: Support the Immune System
A well-regulated immune system keeps yeast in check naturally. Colostrum, functional mushrooms, and immune support supplements help the body do what it is designed to do.
Step 4: Address the Ear Directly
Once the internal work is underway, a natural ear cleanser helps manage what is already there while the root cause is being resolved.
A Note on Recurring Ear Infections
If your dog has been on repeated rounds of antibiotics or ear drops without lasting results, it is worth having a conversation with us. Antibiotics can clear an infection temporarily but they also disrupt the gut microbiome, which can make the underlying yeast problem worse over time. There is usually a better path forward.
A Note Before You Shop
You will notice we have not included food in this collection. That is intentional. But it does not mean food is not part of the answer, because it almost always is.
Every supplement on this page will work harder in a body that is being fed well. A diverse, fresh diet with as much whole food as your pet parent budget allows is the foundation everything else is built on. You cannot supplement away a bad diet. Trying to is like putting a bandaid on diabetes.
If you are not sure where your dog's diet stands or how to start adding fresh food without overhauling everything at once, come talk to us. That conversation is always free and always worth having.
