Best to Avoid an All Day Buffet

Are you offering an all day buffet to your carnivorous hunter? 😬

If you’ve been with us for a while, you have likely heard us refer to feeding ranges, within a feeding window. That means your feeding window is an eight hour block in the day and your feeding ranges are unset hours within the window. 👇

A range could be between 8am and 11am, then another range between 2pm and 4pm. You can serve your meals anytime within the range, staying within the window. 👍

Why are we suggesting this? A few reasons 👇

🐾 Eliminate the bile pukes. This typically occurs when we have a set feeding time then miss it

🐾 All day grazing can lead to chronically elevated blood sugar

🐾 Overdoing it on calorie intake which can lead to obesity

🐾 Never allowing the GI tract to rest causing digestive upset

Cats and dogs are not grazers by nature. Allowing them to graze all day can negatively impact their health. Feeding within an eight-hour window at an unset time keeps their digestive system on its toes and allows for intermittent fasting which provides many digestive benefits! 👍
