Feed Your Pup Blueberries Everyday

So we all know blueberries are considered a super food, but do you know why they're a super food for your pup? 🐶

The best source of antioxidants is fruits and especially berries! Oxidative damage leads to disease and premature aging. Antioxidants are important because they help repair the cells that have been damaged by oxidation. Blueberries contain a large amount of a special antioxidant that’s not found in many other foods and are a more potent source of antioxidants than any other fruit! 🍓

These tiny little blue beauties pack a punch when it comes to improving your dog's nutrition! 💙

🔵 Inhibit tumor growth

🔵 Prevent mutations

🔵 Lower blood sugar

🔵 Decrease chronic inflammation

🔵 Protect the brain

🔵 Improve cognitive capabilities

They also are,

🔵 Rich in vitamins A, C, E and K, as well as trace minerals

There have been multiple studies done on the benefits of including blueberries into our diets and our dog's diets! Blueberries aren’t your ordinary, run of the mill antioxidant…they’re a clinically proven dietary supplement! ✅

So how do we incorporate blueberries into the bowl? Depending on what pupper is eating today will help you determine how much to serve.

Blueberries are a food, so the amount you give your dog doesn’t need to be exact. If you serve a fresh or raw diet, blueberries can make up 5% of the diet. 🥩

If your dog eats kibble or a dry diet, you'll want to ensure they receive more antoxidants to help reduce the blood sugars from the carbs in the dry diet, so double the amount to 10%. 👍

Most pups enjoy blueberries, however if you've got a picky pup on your hands, you can get creative with incorporating blueberries into their diet! No matter how you serve them, they're a fantastic way to level up your bowl! 😀
